Allyson Renee Swaby (born October 3, 1996) is a professional footballer who plays as a centre back for AC Milan in Italy and the Jamaica women’s national team. Born in the United States, she represents Jamaica internationally.

Early Life and Education

Swaby attended William Hall High School in Connecticut from 2010 to 2013. She played youth soccer for Connecticut FC United in the Elite Clubs National League between 2011 and 2014. For her collegiate career, Swaby played for the Boston College Eagles from 2014 to 2017, making 72 appearances and establishing herself as a key defender.

Club Career

  • AS Roma (2018–2021): Swaby signed with AS Roma in Italy’s Serie A, where she made 55 appearances and scored two goals. She was instrumental in helping the team secure their first major trophy, the Coppa Italia, during her tenure.
  • Angel City FC (2022–2023): Swaby joined Angel City FC for their inaugural season in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL). During this period, she was loaned to Paris Saint-Germain for six months.
  • AC Milan (2023–Present): Following her impressive performances at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, Swaby transferred to AC Milan in August 2023.

International Career

Swaby made her debut for the Jamaica women’s national team in 2018. She has represented Jamaica in multiple tournaments, including the 2019 and 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cups.
