Tayvon Howard Gray (born August 19, 2002) is a professional footballer who plays as a right-back for Major League Soccer club New York City FC and the Jamaica national team.

Early Life and Youth Career

Born in The Bronx, New York, Gray began his soccer journey at a young age. He played for local clubs, including the SDFC Gunners and Cedar Stars Academy, before joining the New York City FC Academy in 2017.

Professional Career

New York City FC

Gray signed as a homegrown player with New York City FC on November 26, 2019, becoming the first Bronx native to join the club’s first team. He made his professional debut on April 24, 2021, in a 5–0 victory over FC Cincinnati. Throughout the 2021 season, Gray became a regular starter, contributing to the team’s success in clinching the MLS Cup that year.

International Career

Initially representing the United States at the U17 level, Gray made the switch to the Jamaica national team in 2023. He earned his first senior cap for Jamaica on September 8, 2023, in a CONCACAF Nations League match against Honduras.

Achievements

• Club: MLS Cup Champion with New York City FC in 2021.
• International: Bronze Medalist with Jamaica in the 2024 CONCACAF Nations League.
